What happened to Christmas?

This was going to go in my Christmas cards, but I never got around to sending any. Oops.

One of the best things we did this Christmas was bake a cake for Jesus. I loved it. It was Marymae's idea and it was a great one. Marymae was very proud of her cake!

I don't know what happened, but Christmas just passed us by. We went through the rig-a-ma-roll of everything--ya know, put up the tree, decorate the house, bake stuff, presents, etc. But, it was almost as if we just went through the motions and "got it done". I was just kinda, ya know, not into Christmas this year. I'm not depressed or anything; I just was ready to be done with it all. I'm ready for summer--swimming pools, beaches, vacation, heat....I think I'm going to send my Christmas cards out this summer too since I didn't get them out at Christmas. Wouldn't that be a nice surprise? I would love to get a Christmas card in July. I'd actually have to time to read it and muse over it rather than glance at it and "get to it later".
